Erachi choru Recipe | Irachi Choru | Beef Rice | How to make Eraci Choru?

Irachi Choru is a delicious malabar dish prepared with beef. Its an easy recipe where the rice is cooked in the beef gravy giving a delicious flavor to the rice.

Ingredients

  • Beef - 1/2 kg
  • Basmati Rice - 3 cups
  • Ginger Garlic Green Chilli Paste - 3 tbsp
  • Onion - 2 (chopped)
  • Tomato - 3 (chopped)
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice - 1/4 cup
  • Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
  • Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - as needed
  • Water - to cook rice
  • Ghee - 3 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves - 3 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves - 3 tbsp
  • Fried Onion - 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom - 2
  • Clove - 2
  • Cinnamon Stick - 1"

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker, add all the ingredeints except ghee, rice and water and mix everything together until combined well. Pressure cook until done.
  2. Once cooked and the pressure from the cooker is released naturally, drain the beef and keep aside.
  3. Now add water to cook the rice, add ghee and bring to a boil. Check salt and add more if needed.
  4. Once the water is boiling add the rice and cook until 90 percent done.
  5. Add the cooked beef, little coriander leaves, fried onion and mix well. Cover and cook till the rice is done.
