Baked Creamy Chicken and Potatoes is a creamy cheesy dish baked in a single pot. The chicken is marinated and then shallow fried. The chicken and potatoes are baked in a thick creamy cheesy sauce and topped with a plenty of cheese.

BAKED CREAMY CHICKEN AND POTATOES

Ingredients

Chicken - 1 kg (cut into 6 pieces with skin) Onion - 1 (big, cubed) Potatoes - 4 (big, each cut into 4 pieces) Pepper Powder - 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp Salt For Marination :- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp Pepper Powder - 2 tsp Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp Dry Oregano - 1 tsp Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp For Sauce :- Butter - 4 tbsp Garlic - 3 cloves (chopped) Flour - 3 tbsp Water - 1 cup Milk - 1/2 cup Cream - 1/2 cup Salt Pepper Powder - 2 tsp Cheese - generous amount Parsley Leaves - 3 tbsp (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken well with ingredients mentioned under "for marination". Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven at 200 degree. In a baking dish place the potatoes and season it with pepper powder, red chilli powder and salt.
  3. Rub some oil to it and bake potatoes for 30 minutes or until 1/2 way done.
  4. Shallow fry the chicken pieces for 4 minutes on each side on medium low flame. Keep aside. In the same oil, shallow fry the onions and set aside.
  5. In the pan, melt butter and saute the garlic until raw smell fades. Add the flour and mix well until no lumps are formed.
  6. Add water and mix until sauce thickens. Add cream, milk, cheese, parsley leaves and cook until aromatic.
  7. Remove the cooked potatoes from the oven, place the chicken, onions, and pour the sauce over it, sprinkle some cheese.
  8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 200 degree or until the chicken and potatoes are completely cooked. Keep aside for 15 minutes and serve with garlic bread and some sauce.
