Mutton curry (also referred to as lamb curry or goat curry) is a dish that is prepared from goat meat (or sometimes lamb meat) and vegetables. The dish is found in different variations across all states, countries and regions of South Asia and the Caribbean.
Easy Mutton Curry
Ingredients
- Mutton - 1/2 kg
- Onion - 2 (big, sliced)
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
- Green Chilli - 3 (slit)
- Tomato - 1 (big, sliced)
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
- Coriander Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Fennel Powder - 2 1/4 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 3/4 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Salt
- Coriander Leaves
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Water
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a pressure cooker except oil and mix well until the masala powder coats well to the mutton.
- Add 1 cup of water and cook until mutton is cooked well. Let the steam from the cooker release by itself.
- Transfer the gravy to another vessel and bring it to a boil. Once the gravy boils, check salt. Add boiling water if you need more gravy. Add oil and mix. Garnish with some more coriander leaves.
