Grilled Chicken Shish Tawook | Authentic Shish Taouk Chicken Skewers Recipe
Shish Taouk is a middle eastern cuisine, marinated in spices, skewered and grilled. The dish is eaten either as a sandwich or on a platter with vegetables, french fries and arabic bread.

Ingredients
- Boneless Chicken - 250g (cut into cubes)
- Onion - 1/2 cup (cut into cubes)
- Capsicum - 1/2 cup (cut into cubes)
- Tomato - 1/2 cup (cut into cubes)
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Paprika Powder - 1 tsp
- Cayenne Powder - 1/2 tsp (optional)
- Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Curd - 3 tbsp
- Lemon Juice - 3 tbsp
- Salt - as needed
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken and vegetables with the spice powders, lemon juice, curd, salt and ginger garlic paste. Keep it refrigerated overnight.
- Now, thread the chicken and vegetables to the skewers.
- Grill it for 5 minutes on each side or till the chicken is cooked. Do not overcook the chicken.
- Brush oil in between to the chicken, so that the chicken doesnot dry out. Serve hot with arabic bread.
