Authentic Kerala Beef Cutlet Recipe | Bakery Style

Beef Cutlets are once the all time favorites equally enjoyed by everyone irrespective of age groups. Who doesn’t like these yummy snack, isn’t it?? This is a recipe made exactly like bakery style double coated with panko crumbs and fresh bread crumbs. The spice level can be adjusted accordingly, this gives an aromatic flavor filled with love and tastes delicious.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 2 (big)

TO PREPARE BEEF:-

  • Beef - 1/2 kg
  • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp

TO PREPARE THE MASALA:-

  • Onion - 1 (big, chopped)
  • Ginger Garlic - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli - 3 (chopped)
  • Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Fennel Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil

TO COAT:-

  • Toasted Bread - 10 slices
  • Bread - 10 slices
  • Salt
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - a pinch
  • Egg - 2 (well beaten)

Instructions

  1. Pr. cook beef with the ingredients mentioned under "to prepare beef",add little water until done. Mince the beef pieces and reserve the beef stock.
  2. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes and cook till done. Mash it and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, saute ginger garlic paste and green chilli for few seconds. Add onion and saute till it turns translucent.
  4. Add spice powders,mix well. Cook till raw smell fades. Add the beef stock and cook till moisture evaporates. Add minced beef and mix well. Add coriander leaves. Check salt . Add the mashed potatoes and mix well till incorporated.
  5. Take 10 slices of toasted bread and crush it. Add garam masala powder and red chilli powder. Add salt and mix well. Panko crumbs are ready. Keep it aside.
  6. Take the other 10 slices of bread and crush it. Keep it aside.
  7. Beat the eggs well untill frothy.
  8. Now scoop out a small amount of beef mix from the masala and roll it to a round shape. Make cutlets from the masala mix and keep the aside.
  9. Take each cutlet and dip it to the beaten egg, roll it into the crushed bread crumbs. Dip it again to the egg wash and roll over the panko bread crumbs. Continue until all cutlets are well coated.
  10. Deep fry each cutlets until crisp and golden brown.
