It is a delicious sea food dish eaten as a side dish with rice, chappathi, etc. Its a south Indian delicasy, prepared with added spice powders, where the marinated squid is shallow fried and then mixed with masala and stir fried until dry.
Marinate squid with the ingredients mentioned under "For Marination" and keep for 1/2 hour.
Heat oil, shallow fry the squid and keep aside. In the same oil, saute ginger garlic paste and green chilli for 1 minute. Add onion and cook till the color changes. Add spice powders and salt, mix and cook till raw smell fades. Add 3 tbsp water and continue to cook for a minute.
Add squid and mix well till masala coats on squid. Cook till dry and stir in between. Once done, add curry leaves and mix. Serve hot.
