Kothu Parotta Chicken | Chicken Kothu Parotta Recipe | How to make Kothu Parotta with Egg and Chicken?

Kothu Parotta is a dish eaten widely in the southern parts of India and Srilanka. The dish consists of parottas crushed and sauted in ghee until crisp and then mixed in a gravy of chicken or meat. This is mostly made with leftover gravy and parottas at home.

  • Parottas - as needed
  • Onion - 3 (sliced)
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Green Chillies - 3 (chopped)
  • Tomato - 2 (big, chopped)
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
  • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  • Curry Masala Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Eggs - 3
  • Fried and Shredded Chicken - as needed
  • Oil & Ghee


  1. Saute the crushed parottas in ghee until crisp and golden brown color.
  2. Heat oil, saute onion, ginger garlic paste until golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook till soft and mushy. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  3. Add spice powders, salt and cook till raw smell fades. Add beaten eggs and scramble it, once the egg is half cooked, add the toasted parottas, shredded chicken and mix well. Garnish with green chillies, coriander leaves and serve hot.
