Mutton Momos | Meat Momos | Mutton Dumplings Recipe
Momos is a dumpling stuffed with minced mutton. Momo is a South Asian dumpling popular among the Indian Sub Continent. Momo is stuffed with various fillings of one’s choice, steamed and served with momo sauce.
Mutton Momos
Ingredients
FOR STUFFING:-
- Mutton - 250g (Boiled and Minced)
- Onion - 1/2 cup (chopped)
- Carrot - 1/2 cup (chopped)
- Cabbage - 1/2 cup (chopped)
- Coriander Leaves - 1/4 cup (chopped)
- Lemon Juice - 1/2 cup
- Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
- Soy Sauce - 1 tbsp
- Salt
FOR DUMPLING DOUGH:-
- All Purpose Flour - 1 cup
- Salt
- Water - Enough to Knead the dough
Instructions
- Mix flour, salt and water, knead to a medium consistency dough. The dough should neither be too soft nor too hard. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
- To prepare the stuffing, take the minced mutton to a bowl, add onion, other veggies and mix well.
- Add salt, lemon juice, pepper powder, soy sauce, salt and mix well. Keep aside.
- Dust some flour on a flat surface and roll the dough to a medium level crepe, not too thick nor too thin. Cut a medium size discs from the the crepe.
- Stuff a spoon of mutton mix to a disc and seal the edges accordingly. Continue the process until done.
- Steam all the momos in different batches for about 20 minutes. Serve hot with momos chutney.
