Naadan Spicy Chicken Curry is a spicy kerala style chicken curry with all the spicy masala powders mixed and the aroma released from the curry leaves makes you drool.
Ingredients
- Chicken - 1 kg (cut into small pieces)
- Shallots - 1/2 kg (sliced thinly)
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
- Green Chilli - 3 (chopped)
- Tomato - 2 (chopped)
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 2 tbsp
- Fennel Powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
- Freshly Ground Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Hot Water - 1 cup or more
- Salt
- Curry Leaves
- Coconut Oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep bottom pan, saute the ginger garlic paste and green chilli until raw smell fades. Add the shallots, sprinkle little salt and saute till it turns soft and mushy on medium low flame. Stir in between to avoid burning at the bottom.
- Add the tomatoes and cook till mushy. Now add the spice powder and salt on low flame and saute till raw smell fades and oil starts to separate from it.
- Add the chicken pieces, mix until all the masala's are coated well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Now pour water according to your consiatency, mix, cover and cook till done.
- Add curry leaves. Remove from flame. Serve hot.
